Enter Beauty
Enter Beauty is music for Relaxation, Pain Relief, Stress Relief and Therapy. This healing musical experience was recorded and created by expert music therapist -- Hope Young, MT-BC. Specially composed piano music features Hope’s gentle and relaxing voice guiding you into a profound state of peace. The music takes you into deeper healing and relaxation. Once you feel you have mastered relaxing on your own and body is trained to relax, Hope’s voice and guidance is left off of the third track so you can independently enjoy your own peace, tranquility and inner space of beauty.
Track 1 – “Prepare to Relax” provides introductory music and instructions for setting up your environment for maximum relaxation.
Track 2 – “Serenity” provides peaceful music with a gentle, guiding voice to place you in a calm and relaxed state.
Track 3 – “Serenity Abounds” provides only the music after the body has been trained to relax.
Hope Young, MT-BC is truly an expert in providing music therapy. She has worked for over 20 years in hospitals, clinics and therapy centers consistently providing people the music they need to reduce their pain, anxiety and stress through difficult procedures and experiences. She developed this music because it was so difficult to find music that people both liked and that was helpful to them when they really needed to reduce pain, stress and anxiety. For years Ms. Young has kept this recording for the exclusive use of the patients seen through the Center for Music Therapy, Inc. She is now offering it through her website to help others who would benefit from the therapeutic and healing experience it provides.

Hope’s Top Ten Rules for Selecting Music to reduce pain, anxiety and stress:
1. Pick music you like.
2. Use music that is new and unfamiliar to you.
3. Use music that is unpopular, not widely used in media on TV, Radio, Movies, etc.
4. Use music that remains consistent, smooth and fluid with no sudden starts / stops or tempo and volume changes.
5. Use music that is simply composed with one or two instruments.
6. Use music with a soothing voice that gently guides one to increased focus, effective breathing, and muscle relaxation
7. Use music that brings forth healing imagery and associations.
8. Use music that elicits feelings and associations that are pleasant and safe.
9. Use music that when you have overcome the stressful situation, injury, illness or pain you can put away and never listen to again unless you find it helpful.
10. Music has a strong ability to link itself with the body’s memory. The music you successfully used to help you reduce pain, anxiety and stress when used again can trigger unpleasant body memories and sensations associated with that time.
Hope’s Top Ten Rules for Maximizing Relaxation through Music:
1. Set aside a time of 20-60 minutes.
2. Choose a relaxing place.
3. Make this area free of other distractions.
4. Choose a place away from the normal traffic.
5. Turn off phone ringers, TV, radios, and place a do not disturb sign out.
6. Place children or disruptive pets in the care of others or outside.
7. Create dim lighting. Ex. desk lamp vs. overhead lighting.
8. Place yourself close to speakers, or use headphones, and within easy reach of volume controls.
9. Let yourself get into a comfortable position. Reclining or lying down is best to allow your blood pressure to lower and relieve pressure to your spine.
10. If you have sleep problems or issues, do your relaxation exercises in bed. This is where you want to train your body to relax and go to sleep, not in your favorite recliner or couch.
